Description of Basilica Hudson Spaces
Main Hall
The former Forge and Foundry building, once used to build railway wheels at the
turn of the last century, was later transformed into a glue factory. Today it
has been stripped down to its bare architectural bones: industrial windows, painted
brick walls, intricate steel truss systems and terracotta roof tiles. The grandest
of the spaces, the Main Hall, is the principle space for performances, events,
exhibits, film productions and photo shoots. There are multiple entrances and
a convenient loading dock.

Ceiling Height: 20' to 40' grade
North Hall
Located in the north wing of the Forge and Foundry building, extending out from
the Main Hall through a set of double wood doors. The North Hall is currently
set up with risers and commonly used as a small theater and performance space.
Architecturally as striking as the Main Hall, with the same high ceilings, tall
windows, brick and tile work. This venue comfortably holds up to 150 people seated.
It is also ideal for film and photo shoots, with plenty of height for backdrops,
lights and sets. The main entrance to the Basilica is located in North Hall.

Gallery Space
With its own separate entrance, this is the small sister building to the Forge
and Foundry and serves as a more intimate viewing and meeting space. With wide-plank
yellow pine floors, white walls for hanging and exposed red brick walls on the
far ends, this is the most finished of the spaces at Basilica Hudson. In the
past It has most often been used as an Art Gallery.

West Wing
"The Bar" area is located to the west side of the Main Hall, accessed
by three separate entrances. There are two large openings with counters, for
serving in the Main Hall. With slightly lower wood beamed ceilings, it is a more
intimate place for gatherings.

West Wing Entrance
This is an alternate entrance on the west side of the Forge and Foundry building.
This space provides a more intimate reception area which can be used for coat
check, ticket booths, dressing room and more.

Production Offices
Located upstairs, overlooking the Main Hall, these are private production offices
which can be rented to facilitate your production or event.
